Document Signing & Identification Requirements:

 

When notarizing documents, the Notary Public requires proper ID from each party signing the documents to be notarized. The Notary will ask to see a current identification document that has a photograph, physical description, and a signature.

 

 

• Florida Driver’s License

• Other States Driver’s License

• Florida Identification Card

• Other State Identification Card

• U.S. Passport

• U.S. Military ID card

 

Notaries are not responsible for the accuracy or legality of documents they notarize unless they prepare said document(s). Notaries certify the identity of signers. The signers are responsible for the content of the documents.
